Whether the steep hillsides in the North, or the lavender covered valleys in the South, the Rhone Valley offers many different flavors to accompany the changes in geography. In the northern Rhone, Syrah is king, in the south, it's Grenache, yet interesting aging techniques, and growing techniques separate the wines from this region from all others around the world. We'll also learn about food pairings for these exquisite wines while enjoying a menu carefully prepared by the chef at Inn on Broadway.
Your tour guide for this evening will be Jon Link. Certified Sommelier, and a student of the Certified Wine Educator program, as well as a self proclaimed French Wine lover, he will guide you through the beautiful wines of the Rhone valley. He traveled to France in 2011 and spent over a week scratching at the surface of the Rhone, tasting wines from all across this region. Sharing his own pictures and experiences, he will share his stories and observations of the region and perhaps introduce you to some amazing wines that you've never had the opportunity to try before.
