Dallas: Wine in a Can - It's a Thing
Wine in a Can – It’s a Thing
Packaging in the wine industry is ever-evolving, lighter bottles, screw top closures, wine in a box, and more recently, wine in a can. Cans are light-weight, small and beach- and hike-friendly. They come in different sizes, so it’s easy to have smaller pour. But, how does it taste?
Would you drink wine from a can? And enjoy it? Let’s find out!
Join us Tuesday, July 28 at 6 pm
for virtual tasting and discussion of wine in a can. The event will last about one to one and a quarter hours.
Here’s how it will work.
Buy three or four cans of wine. We suggest a sparkling, a white, a red, and possibly a rosé. Wine in a can is available at Central Market, Trader Joe’s and many grocery stores. The size of the can does not matter.
Have a wine glass available for each can of wine so we can compare the aromas and taste in the can and in the glass. If you’d like, have some snacks on hand to see how the wine pairs with food.
